Our handsome Bernese/Golden Mix 2 year old Pro is ready for a home to call his own. He is update to date on all vet matters; he is neutered and has a microchip. He is one sweet and loving boy. He is learning those pesky basic commands. He is learning to walk on a leash; his foster says he is doing better with each passing week with leash walking. He loves the ladies and does great with female dogs. He is currently sharing his home with a female and they run and play with no issues. He is not real sure about male dogs and would need someone to work with him more on this. He is very puppy like and immature like you would expect with any 2 year old. In true Berner fashion he does not know his size, weighs around 70 pounds. He does not mean to but he knocks over small children. He needs exercise daily to drain some of that puppy energy. He loves to play fetch and loves his ball. He will play fetch forever! He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He has not chewed on household items; he is very interested in items on the kitchen counter but has not counter surfed yet.
Before arriving in our care, he was a very under socialized pup. He will need an experienced adopter to continue to move him forward. He can get overwhelmed and over stimulated with too many people or too many dogs around him. He can get nervous and fearful when experiencing new things. Because of this no small children in the home please. His foster states that overall Pro is a good boy and he is very trainable and will do wonderfully in the right forever home with an adopter who knows how to work with him.
Pro is located in Cape Coral, Florida. Adopter should plan to travel to his foster home to pick him up; we do not transport our Berners. His adoption fee is $300.00. If interested in Pro please email us at info@bfwrescue.org.
